For Teen Girls Only
Let's face it: Talking to kids about safety is tough. But, as your children mature, you want them to take care of themselves while living rich, full lives.
Strategic Living classes are designed to help you begin a dialogue and find the right words to communicate in a loving, non-alarming way.
In their own class they'll relax and feel comfortable discussing their fears and asking tough questions. They'll get honest, accurate answers in a safe space. In 3 hours, they will learn:
- How a teenager can protect herself when dates get scary
- Signs you need to get to a cell phone and call home — now
- Surprise moves to get free if you're grabbed from behind
- What to expect, and do, when you get to high school or college
- How stay safe and still have fun at parties, athletic events and class activities
One parent's comment:
"My daughter was in your class on Sunday morning and I wanted to let you know how much she and her friend enjoyed it and found it invaluable. When I got them in the car to drive home, they didn't shut their mouths. She showed me many of the moves after we got home and was totally psyched. Thank you so much – I am a middle school counselor and one thing that is crucial for me is to help young
women feel empowered. You certainly did that for my daughter –
thanks so much for what you do."
One participant's comment:
"This class didn't suck. I expected it to suck, but it didn't."

Is your daughter about to go off to college?
Put together a special self-defense class for her and her friends, focusing on risks specific to college girls. In a 2 to 3 hour seminar she will learn to recognize ploys and manipulations most commonly used on new college girls by would-be attackers. She will learn how to prevent and interrupt those assault plans. And, in case she needs them, some awesome physical skills that will disable the would-be attacker so she can get safety away.
Currently offered by private arrangement. Find out more about organizing a self-defense class for your daughter and friends, and contact me to schedule your custom class.
Is your daughter not quite a teen?
For girls just starting to ride the bus by themselves or with one or two friends, begin babysitting, and be trusted at home alone. Does more independence and responsiblity for her have to mean more worry for you? For Tween Girls Only is for both her emerging awareness and your peace of mind.

Not for Teen Girls Only - The Mother/Daughter Session
Ideal for a group where the daughters are all about the same age, this class will not only give you great self-defense skills but will provide tools to carry on conversations about safety for a long time.
One participant said, "Thank you thank you thank you. What an experience! You are a marvel." Another remarked, "This class didn't stop at the end of the day. It opened up productive, life-changing conversations in our home."
And from another class organizer:
Just a little "Thank You" from all of us gals! Your class ignited a lot of conversation on the drive home. And many more to come. We thought you were clear, informative, and definitely a confidence builder for both the moms and the daughters. Having us all in a group setting was safe for the girls but really comforting for the moms to bring up topics we definitely talk about at home...but awesome to hear girls talk about it and moms reassured that their own peers are feeling the same way is priceless.
Your tools were simple and easy to remember and your thought process on the "why's" of why we find ourselves in certain situations was very clear. Loved the clothes line!
Thanks again...we will definitely be passing your information on to our friends!
Currently offered by private arrangement. Find out more about organizing your self-defense class , and contact me to schedule your custom class. Another option (if your daughter is over the age of 15 and putting together your own group is challenging) is to both enroll in a Sunday Seminar.
Would you like a self-defense class at your school?
Like driver's education, self-defense training should be part of every girl's school curriculum. Whether for a short club presentation or a multi-week course, Strategic Living can come to your middle or high school.
