Seeking Super Sheros -- A Contest
If you could have any one super power, what would it be?
I've asked my students that question over the last year. Their answers vary from invisibility and flying to mind-reading and future-seeing. (Only one picked super strength.)
What would you be able to do? Where could you go? Who would you help?
1. Give your Super Shero a name and describe her powers. Tell me about her. When does she use her powers? For whom?
2. Put all this information into the form below. Include your name, email address, and phone number so I can contact you if you are a winner. Real name only, please. If you are under 18 years old, I also need the name and contact info for a parent or legal guardian. Contest open to anyone who does not work for Strategic Living, LLC.
3. Draw/ paint / photoshop / video / avatar (however you want to depict) her. If she has a theme song, send it. If you use a live model, you'll need permission and this photo release. Email all artwork (and photo relelease if applicable) to Strategic Living. This visual component is mandatory, and your entry is not considered complete without it.
4. Deadline: April
15th, 30th, 2012, midnight Pacific time (extension thanks to having to put more work into tax forms than anticipated!). No late entries accepted, as this email address will turn into a pumpkin! Winners will be notified by June 15th. Limit of one (1) entry per person.
First prize: iPod shuffle. Second prize: $25 Amazon gift certificate. Third prize: $10 iTunes gift certificate. There is one of each prize.
Winners' entries will be featured on the Strategic Living website. By submitting entries, contestants acknowledge their submissions may be used to promote Strategic Living self-defense classes without further compensation or consideration. By submitting your entry, contestants also represent that they possess the rights to this material, and it does not belong to anybody else. Winners whose entries are posted may opt to remain anonymous.
Strategic Living, LLC, is connected to neither Apple nor Amazon.com. These two companies do not in any way endorse Strategic Living, nor did they donate any prize to this competition. They probably don't even know we exist.
